Simplicity Group & MANTIS LIVE Fundraiser for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland

We are thrilled to announce that the Simplicity Group & MANTIS LIVE Teams are embarking on an incredible journey to support Air Ambulance NI!

In July, the team are planning to jointly walk/run the entire distance around Ireland throughout the month of July. This is a total of 3,171km (102km per day). This should not only test our physical endurance but also allow us to make a significant impact on the lives of those in need.

Our goal is to raise at least £5,500 for Air Ambulance NI and ensure they can continue to provide their vital services to those in need. Every donation, big or small, will make a significant impact and help save lives.

Family and friends are able to help us reach the distance by tagging the Simplicity Group Strava account.

To ensure that our mission reaches as many people as possible, we have created a dedicated landing page. This landing page will serve as a hub for all information related to our challenge, including updates on our progress, ways to donate, and stories of those whose lives have been touched by Air Ambulance NI.

About Air Ambulance NI Charity!

Air Ambulance NI, is a charity in Northern Ireland that work in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) to provide the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for the region.

Serious or life-threatening situations can happen to anyone at any time and on average every single day in Northern Ireland two individuals find themselves in critical need of AANI. Since the service first launched in July 2017, the HEMS has been tasked on over 3,351 occasions

The HEMS team attend to patients who are seriously ill or injured, bringing emergency pre-hospital care direct to the casualty with the aim of saving lives, brains and limbs. The service brings urgent medical assistance to anywhere in the province, operating seven days a week for 12 hours per day. It can get to anywhere in Northern Ireland in approximately twenty-five minutes.

What is not widely known is that AANI is a charity and they rely solely on donations and fundraising. Each day it costs £6,850 and £2.5m is needed each year to keep the Air Ambulance NI service operational.

Why has Simplicity Group & MANTIS LIVE chosen the Air Ambulance NI?

MANTIS LIVE & Simplicity Group chose the Air Ambulance NI as our charity of choice because of the incredible impact they had on two of our team members, Catherine & Courtney, and their families. The air ambulance played a crucial role in saving the life of their youngest, baby Noah, and this experience has made the charity incredibly special to us.

Noah was born with a condition called Long Segment Hirschprungs. When he was 10 weeks old during a visit to his grandparents in Omagh his broviac line was damaged during a routine dressing change.

Noah might not have got the help he needed in time if it wasn’t for the Air Ambulance NI Charity.
