As a Fleet Business Development Manager at Simplicity Group, you will play a vital role in driving the success of our sales team. Working closely with the Inside Sales team and Account Managers, you will exceed company targets by identifying customer requirements, generating appointments, creating quotations, and demonstrating the return on investment of our Vehicle CCTV and Telematics solutions.

Your main responsibility will be to pitch and demonstrate Simplicity Group’s products to businesses in the ROI marketplace using various channels such as LinkedIn, phone calls, and web demonstrations. This hands-on role offers an opportunity to learn and develop a variety of sales skills within a fast-moving technology company.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Identify key prospective targets within assigned prospect accounts using our CRM system (Salesforce) and implement the company’s contact strategy to secure appointments with decision-makers.
  • Utilise video software to create engaging content and effectively prospect high-quality leads.
  • Maintain and develop new customer relationships, with a focus on developing your own pipeline.
  • Collaborate closely with the account management team to generate new business leads.
  • Gain a clear understanding of potential clients’ businesses and demonstrate how Simplicity Group’s products can benefit them.
  • Present Simplicity Group’s solutions to key contacts through direct communication via telephone calls, emails, and web demonstrations.
  • Use LinkedIn to target key industry types.
  • Write proposals using our digital software, present to key stakeholders, and negotiate commercial contracts to acquire new business.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of Simplicity Group’s competencies, vertical market priorities, and potential solutions.
  • Provide feedback to the business on any customer issues or concerns related to our products and services.
  • Provide consultative support in finding the right solutions for clients’ needs.
  • Build and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring comprehensive utilisation of Salesforce to record account progress and business pipelines.
  • Maintain up-to-date contact records and account plans using Salesforce.
  • Meet and report on productivity and performance KPIs in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues from cross-functional teams to leverage skills and maximize sales success.
  • Achieve individual sales targets and strive for overperformance.

Experience needed:

  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and meeting KPIs in a SaaS role.
  • Experience in an acquisition sales role.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software.
  • Strong solution-selling skills, demonstrating a return on investment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Customer-focused with a strong emphasis on delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.
  • Familiarity with online meeting software such as Zoom, Teams, and GoToMeeting.
