As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) your primary focus will be on lead generation and prospecting. You will play a crucial role in identifying potential customers, initiating contact, and nurturing relationships to drive qualified opportunities for the sales team. The ideal candidate for this position possesses exceptional communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a keen understanding of the fleet market.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Conduct research to identify potential customers and companies that may benefit from our fleet solutions such as vehicle CCTV and Telematics solutions.
  • Utilise company platforms such as Linkedin/Salesforce to build a comprehensive list of prospects.
  • Prospecting: Reach out to potential customers via phone, email, social media, and other communication channels to introduce our solutions and generate interest in our products and services.
  • Qualification: Engage with prospects to understand their business needs, challenges, and pain points.
  • Appointment Setting: Collaborate with the sales team to schedule meetings, demos, and appointments for them to further engage with qualified prospects.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with prospects over time, providing valuable insights and information to nurture their interest and keep them engaged with our offerings.
  • Data Management: Keep accurate records of all interactions and prospecting activities in the Salesforce CRM system. Ensure data hygiene and integrity to facilitate efficient lead management.
  • Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and customer needs to effectively position our CCTV and Telematics services and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Collaborative Approach: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align efforts, share insights, and optimise lead generation strategies.
  • Performance Metrics: Achieve and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) such as the number of qualified leads generated, conversion rates, and opportunities created.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about our CCTV and Telematics offerings, updates, and improvements.

Experience needed:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Development Representative or in a similar role, with a track record of successful lead generation and qualification.
  • Strong understanding of the vehicle industry, particularly vehicle CCTV and Telematics, and the ability to articulate the value of our products to potential customers.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads and track progress.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage prospects through various channels effectively.
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail to manage and prioritize multiple prospects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Persistent, results-driven, and self-motivated with a proactive approach to lead generation and problem- solving.
  • Collaborative team player who can work closely with sales, marketing, and other stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
